How the Process Works

1. Order your tune and complete the setup form
2. Receive your base map (usually within 24 hours)
3. Follow instructions and record data logs
4. Send logs for revision
5. Receive updates and repeat the process

This continues until the car is fully dialed in.

Most tunes are completed within 5–10 revisions depending on the setup and condition of the vehicle.

Important Notes

Turnaround time depends on both customer response time and current tuning volume. Customers who submit logs quickly and completely usually move through the process faster.

Most single fuel tunes with no issues are completed in roughly 5–10 revisions. Flex fuel tunes may take around 7–15 revisions, depending on setup and how the car responds.

If the car has mechanical issues, boost leaks, fueling problems, or setup-related issues, the tuning process can take longer.

Atlas Commercial Tuning 

What is Atlas?

Atlas is an ECU calibration and datalogging platform developed by North American Motorsports Research. AMBOT Tuned uses Atlas Commercial to provide custom tuning for supported Subaru WRX vehicles.

Do I need to purchase Atlas software?

Atlas is free to download for personal use. Customers do not need to purchase a separate commercial software license to flash a tune provided by AMBOT Tuned.

Are AMBOT Atlas tunes locked?

Yes. Our commercial calibrations are VIN-locked to protect our proprietary tuning data. Customers can flash their supplied calibration to the licensed vehicle without having access to the protected calibration data.

What is an Atlas vehicle credit?

An Atlas vehicle credit establishes a commercial tuning license between AMBOT Tuned and your vehicle's VIN. The necessary commercial licensing is included in your tuning purchase.

Do I need another credit for revisions?

No. Once your vehicle is licensed to AMBOT Tuned, additional locked revisions for the same VIN do not require another Atlas vehicle license.

What if my vehicle was previously tuned by someone else using Atlas?

You can switch to AMBOT Tuned. However, commercial licenses are not transferable between tuners. AMBOT Tuned must establish its own license for your vehicle.

Can you tune my FA20-to-FA24 swapped WRX?

Potentially, yes. FA24-swapped vehicles require additional compatibility verification and an appropriate base calibration. Contact us with your vehicle details and existing calibration information before purchasing.

What do I need to get started?

You will need a supported vehicle, a compatible OBDII flashing adapter, the Atlas software, and a Windows, macOS, or Linux computer. AMBOT Tuned will provide instructions for the remote tuning process.
